In September 2014, Google added a small "easter egg" to the browser. If you run out of internet and try to access a website, the message "Unable to connect to the internet" or "No internet connection" appears. Next to him, an 8-bit T-Rex dinosaur.

At first it was thought that it was simply a cute emoticon, but nothing could be further from the truth: the dinosaur has become one of the most addictive Google games out there.

But what if you want to play Google's dinosaur game WITH the internet? Well, you won't have any problem (if you know how to do it, of course). We explain everything to you in this article: don't miss it!

How to Play Google's Dinosaur T-Rex Game on the Internet

Although the essence of the game is to move the Tyrannosaurus Rex on the white screen of the browser when there is no internet, it is also possible to do it while online. Next, we will show you the different options that you can try.

The easiest way to play Google dino is by disconnecting Wi-Fi or mobile data on your smartphone. You do not need any app or any website. When you do, the dinosaur will appear every time you want to enter a page from Chrome.

If you are browsing connected to WiFi, disable it as follows:

  1. Left click on the WiFi / Networks icon in the lower right corner of your screen.
  2. Select the connection you are using now.
  3. Click on “Disconnect”.

How to play

  1. Turn off the internet and enter the Chrome browser on your computer.

  2. The dinosaur will appear. Start pressing the space bar or the left direction arrow on your keyboard to move it.

  3. The T-Rex will start to run in a straight line down a path full of obstacles. To avoid them, jump by pressing the space bar.

  4. When the obstacle is very big, press the space bar for a longer time. It will do the longest jumps.

  5. If you want to pause the dino game, press the Alt key.

  6. And, if you need the dinosaur to increase its fall with each jump, press the down arrow.

If you don't want to disconnect from the internet, you can type "Chrome: // dino" in the address bar of your browser. Wait for the page to load and press the space key to start the game. The method is similar to the previous one, only the image is much larger than normal.

This is another excellent alternative if you don't want to force a disconnect on your computer. Unlike the previous one, the image is not larger than normal and you can use the space bar to move the character. In this case, just do the following:

  1. Press the Ctrl + Shift + I or F12 keys to open the "Chrome Developer Tools".
  2. In the “Network” tab, uncheck the “Disable cache” box. Then, choose the "Offline" option (on the right).
  3. Load any page and you will see that the Google dinosaur appears.
  4. Press the space bar to move it and start playing.

T-Rex Runner Game, play online with Google's dino

If you do not want to complicate yourself one iota, enter this site and play directly with the Google dinosaur. You will also be able to share your score records on your social networks and see the records of the month of other users. On mobile it is much easier. You just have to press the screen to start the game and for the dinosaur to jump over the obstacles. Of course, be careful; As the game progresses, it will go faster and faster.

Chrome Easter Egg from GitHub

It is a site similar to T-Rex Runner Game, with the difference that its aesthetic is more similar to the original. Obstacles other than cacti also appear, increasing the difficulty level.

Try the Dino T-Rex app from your Android or iOS

Finally, there is this mobile application that you can download on Google Play or the App Store. It works with or without internet and shares the same aesthetics as Chrome.
